Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Bridge Rehabilitation Services Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with the medicolegal expert witness services provided by Mr Akiva Lieberman.

Who we are

Bridge Rehabilitation Services Limited is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration reference ZA105736. Our registered address is 24 Broad Street, Salford, M6 5BY.

Information we collect

In the course of providing expert witness services, we may collect: contact and identifying details of instructing solicitors, agencies, and insurers; details submitted through our enquiry form; and personal and medical information relating to claimants, including medical records, where this is necessary to prepare an expert report.

How we use your information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, to prepare expert witness reports and related documents, to communicate with instructing parties, and to comply with our legal and professional obligations. Medical and health information relating to claimants is processed solely for the purpose of preparing and supporting expert opinion in connection with the instruction.

Lawful basis for processing

We process personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing expert witness services, the performance of our instructions, and compliance with legal obligations. Where we process special-category data such as health information, we do so on the basis that it is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

How we store and protect your information

We take the security of personal data seriously. Medical records and sensitive documents are transferred by secure link and stored securely. Access is restricted to those who need it to carry out the instruction. We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and to meet our legal and professional obligations, after which it is securely destroyed.

Sharing your information

We do not sell personal data. We may share information where necessary with instructing solicitors, agencies, the courts, or other parties to the litigation, and where required by law.

Your rights

You have rights under data protection law, including the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate data, and, in certain circumstances, to request erasure or to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.

Contact

For any questions about this privacy policy or how your data is handled, please contact: Email: info@bridge-rehab.co.uk Telephone: 0161 870 6559

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Updates

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this website.

Paste that in, then optionally bold each heading line. And remember the caveat from before — worth having someone with data protection knowledge cast an eye over it given you handle medical records. Want the short privacy line for under the contact form too?
